The new Google Maps offers a 360-degree view of many streets in the San Francisco Bay Area,
It may have many repercussions, but to me it sounds really creepy. I may have exaggerated it a bit but at some point of time we have to decide, till what level can we allow Google or anyone else to intrude our privacy. Whether it’s putting up of cameras on Traffic Signals or Satellites, we have to say NO at some level. At least I can not live my life like “ The Trueman Show”.

Man...this sounds real creey.... imagine...google granting people access to our bedrooms....and bathrooms :) ...
trust they know where to draw the line...
I'm a huge google fan...but there is a need to check what all wonderful things they are planning to provide us at the click of the mouse....
Am sure the defence and govt will not apreciate this as well.....coz the terrorists world over will be logged onto google....plotting their next moves.... am sure they are also hiring tech savvy people now....do keep sharing such stuff....very enlightening.... and what are your views on the same ????
I guess they should know where to draw the line or should be told to do so......Google is facing so many issue because of exposing sensitive areas by Google Earth.... and this can make things worse...
So lets hope for the best and be prepared for the worst ;)

Well, a search engine keeps tabs on your life, storing information (not just search cookies, Google Toolbar, for example, keeps your AIM logs, desktop based documents, etc.) is really very over broad...and pretty damn close to evil.
Very true anonymous... but things might change after Ask comes up with the Ask Eraser.... Microsoft has already declared 18 months period after which they will will delete the stored info....
All this along with the cookie issue is putting pressure on Google to take some major steps...
